11th Global Mural Conference (2018)
What a great conference it was, that was held from September 12-15, 2018! As a pioneer for organized mural arts in Newfoundland, the Botwood Mural Arts Society invited us to explore the vibrant history of their charming community through breathtaking paintings found in their town. 4 new murals were created during the event, including the largest mural in Atlantic Canada.
The event murals were created by Charlie Johnston from Winnipeg Canada, Fernanda Gonzalez Latrecchiana from Argentina, Ciaran Gallagher from the United Kingdom and Marat Danilyan from Russia. As Newfoundlanders and Labradoreans, they love a good story, they love to hear them, and they love to share them. They have a long history in this province of being creative people.
